Autofair charges a display fee of $90 (cash or cheque - sorry, no eftpos) per vehicle. This provides up to eight weekends display time at our site, plus an advertisement for your car on this website.

Here's how it works

We hold keys for most vehicles on display at Autofair; these are available to buyers to inspect vehicles and to start the engine.
Whilst a buyer is inspecting your vehicle, we hold their photographic ID (e.g. drivers licence) as security.
Test drives of your vehicle are not permitted unless you are present.
If a buyer has inspected your vehicle and wishes to organise a test-drive or find out more information, they will call you directly.
We supply signage for vehicles to display your asking price, contact phone numbers, vehicle options, and other relevant information. If you would like to provide additional signage or advertising materials, you are welcome to do so.

We want to see your car sold!
(that's why we go to a little extra effort)

We can provide all our sellers with a printed copy of market value (that is, recent average sale prices) for their model of vehicle. This is usually available within 24 hours of the vehicle being registered with Autofair. Being well informed on the state of the used car market is the first step to a successful sale.
Each week, we record the number of inspections per vehicle, assisting you to evaluate buyer response to your vehicle and price.
All vehicles are advertised on this website, and sellers can write their own advertisement for their vehicle. Over a typical eight week period, there are over 4,500 visits to this website. (click here to view our current listing of cars for sale)

Here's how to register your car with us

If you would like to register your vehicle with Autofair, simply click on the link below, fill in the empty text boxes, and print that page (or, you can just print the page and fill in the details by hand). Then all you need to do is bring the completed form and your vehicle along to our site anytime from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. It takes about 10-15 minutes to register your car on the first day. To satisfy licensing obligations, we must have the registration, engine, and chassis/VIN numbers of all vehicles displayed at Autofair - the easiest place to find these is on the registration papers.
